I would like to register an objection to that being called a violation of the "No Direct Consequences" rule. It was something being played up at every opportunity anyway, and was much, much, much smaller than things like the seance, which was allowed to stand, and some of the crap Thwaidey and other characters I suspect were played by the same player magically know and act on. If that was a violation, then anybody can get away with anything and object if it's countered. Should I have objected when Rast found the cameras? According to this decision, yes!

I was concerned at the idea that player x would have told all about a very sensitive situation to player y just like that. It's the kind of thing one asks permission for generally e.g. my character knows Ulva tried to make an assignation, but not with whom for a recent specimen of my own skulduggery. Everybody can read IC posts and know things OOC, but IC they ought to justify what they know or think they know, otherwise where's the fun?
I'm also go by the rule that the GM's decision is final, that sometimes you just have to let stuff go and that perceived inconsistency is generally the product of there being people sat behind computers and characters.

Three months ago, it wouldn't have been an issue. The old GM would have said, "Sometimes your character goes in directions you didn't expect," and let it stand. I had it happen.
Considering that your post concerning Coulter's past as a sniper was what inspired Anna Maria's ultimate fate, I am extremely comfortable with you using that elememt in your own development.
I think talking to Travis and Becky at the station was perfectly legitimate. Like you said, a burning car and a corpse is going to raise a few eyebrows, even somewhere like Cougar Ridge.
As the other person implicated in the comment that was deleted I would have had no problem with being questioned, as you say it's only natural to come asking questions

In my opinion, I think that the elections could have been handled better. The votes for this election should have been a) kept secret until the winner was announced b) the person responible for tallying the votes should have no vested interest in the elections.
Personally I smell a rat in these elections, especially with there been a surge in voting at the last minute against Harry Gilman. These are not Michael's feeling, but that of his player. I expressed my concerns at the beginning of the elections saying to the GM that the voting should have been kept secret. I should have added that the result should have been made public after the winner had been annouced.
Michael's player also believe that certain people may have been influened by how other people have voted in this election.
No, you did not tell the GM that you thought it should be a secret ballot. You asked if the voting was anonymous, and I told you it wasn't, and why. The only difference between this election and others is that I used a poll instead of having people put their votes in an entry.
I don't know how we could have found someone that everyone involved would accept as being a disinterested party who would be willing to keep a tally, either.
And I would disagree that there has been a "surge" of votes for Lyndon, unless you'll say that there's been a surge for Harry, also. The two have been neck and neck for the last three days.

Apologies to anyone who may be waiting on Vernon to post for whatever reason. I'm currently laid low with an extremely vicious virus and am unlikely to be back in the fold this week. Sorry. Feel free to do nasty things to my character in my absence.
