Just news...

Lil' bit of good news to start: "Duchess 33" is #5 on A Different Drum's weekly best sellers list. I don't think that means he went through 100 copies or anything, but at least he sold a few. So, yay for that!

Tidbits:

- A portion of Bach's mass in B Minor is apparently my #3 best-selling song on iTunes. Hmm. Eh, I say, why not? I'll embrace it! Perhaps a remix of a Bach piece is in my future. That'll teach YOU, iTunes!

- Someone finally bought a copy of the album through amazon.com. Whew! I was beginning to think I'd never have a sales rank on there. But now I can proudly say that I am #94,584 in music... and counting!

- I spent my weekend personally entering comments to every person who has Cosmicity as a MySpace friend. It took FOREVER, but was very worth it. A good 50 people wrote me back to say they didn't have any idea that I'd changed my name and they were gonna go check it out. Hits to my myspace pages were much higher also. Will it translate to sales? We'll see. But at least I'm better-reaching some of the "lost" Cosmicity fans.

- Um... oh yeah. So I think I will be doing the single for "Perverse" first. Remixers: I'll be posting parts this week. Get your ideas ready!

- I'll then be following up that single with Mark Nicholas vs. Cosmicity. I have a lot of ideas, but tracks at the top of my list for the Mark Nicholas treatment are: As Long As It Takes, Orange, Abort, Fate and Time, Darkness, and Your Beautiful Lie.

- Before ya go yellin' at me about those choices, think about my new sound and which songs it can actually be applied to. It's not gonna work for Alone or Sedgwick. Now think about "As Long As It Takes", with it's desperate and painful lyrics, done more like "Green". Or "Orange" done big-n-hard like "Perverse".

- If you still wanna yell at me after reading that, go ahead. I haven't made my final decision yet, so I'm open to some thoughts. Just know that I'm definitely not gonna do any Cosmicity tracks that are heavily melodic and optimistic. It won't sound right.

Hope everyone's Monday is goin' alright. Thanks for listening.
