Lil' bit of good news to start: "Duchess 33" is #5 on A Different Drum's weekly best sellers list. I don't think that means he went through 100 copies or anything, but at least he sold a few. So, yay for that

I LOVE them. I really do. I had not had any real dealings with them until this album, but I think they absolutely RULE. So nice. So fair to artists. 3 minutes of high quality preview on any song you want. So cool.

Just a few suggestions as alternates:

With The Moon - Hey, it worked at 180+ BPM... why not?

The Princess Of Detroit - I can just hear this one made more dirty.

With the Moon has pretty optimistic lyrics, so I'm not so sure on that one...

...but Princess of Detroit could definitely work. I'll think more about that one. I picked Darkness from that album 'cause I think it's a song that COULD have been great but never really was. I like the idea of grabbing some songs that didn't get their due and bringing 'em to a new place...

On the contrary, "Darkness" IS a great song! It's always been one of my faves. It could still be cool reworked, though. I think "Your Beautiful Lie" is a great choice, too. However, I'm iffy about the others on your list. I still think "Into It," "Anymore," "I Have Nothing," or even "Something" would be better suited to the new sound.

But who knows... I may end up loving "As Long As It Takes," "Orange," or "Fate and Time" if I see them in a completely different light.

Well, that certainly doesn't make sense on a Mark Nicholas VS. Cosmicity release. It would make sense on a single. I'll consider it. But I'm not sure I can do NIN as well as NIN...
