So, Bakka-Phoenix Books, our local science fiction / fantasy bookstore... nearly as old as me and long may it reign! Was holding a little contest for, as they put it, Singles Awareness Day. The theme was, a Valentine for a fictional character.
And I won! IwonIwonIwon! I knew I really liked it, but I am, after all, biased.
And now I want to spread it all over the world! So will probably be posting it other places.
Prize is a box of fancy schmancy chocolates, which I sadly won't be able to pick up until next weekend, but I am enjoying the validation quite as much.
Warning, racy innuendo.
So here it is:
Valentine for a fictional character, written for a contest. For Tom Hiddleston's Loki.
written 9/2/2014
O black haired stepchild
I bare my chest to you
Bury your spear deep inside
My heart was already yours
O make me long for something as sweet as pain
[Note: written when all I had seen was The Avengers, not yet the other movies in 'verse or any of the many, many wonderful pieces of fanfic out there which I have since read.
Also I guess copyright disclaimer that the character ain't mine but I'm not actually sure anything here is infringing...]
