Tuesday is here, and helf-way gone. Well, in a workday sense. Odd how my perception of time adjusts as I get older. In fact, I might say time flies by now that I am older. Ah, but I know that isn't the truth.
I have a second interview this Friday. The position I am going for is larger, with more responsibility and challenge. Yet, the people are nice and I believe in the cause, so I am not afraid to work harder. As I was telling my wife, I am a bit scared, as there is an inate fear of the unknown. But, I think this new job could be great and hope that I get the offer.
In movie news, my wife and I saw three films over the weekend, spanning all levels of quality. We saw 'Ray' and enjoyed it. It is a good biopic, but it wanders too much, without a clear narrative focus. I think 'The Aviator' is a better biopic than this. Yet, the music and some performances are great. Second was 'Constantine' a very visual film. Keanu does his normal thing (which my wife LOVES) amidst a plethora of special effects. The effects are cool, Rachel Weisz is great (I love her work ::smiles::) and the story is not as convoluted as people think. But, by and far, seeing the portrayal of Satan in this film is worth the price of admission. Finally, we rented 'Catwoman' a film, my wife wanted to see in the theaters, but we waited. I thought "it can't be that bad, right?" but was proven very, very wrong. I think the film fails on almost every level. This movie HAD to made with the DVD cult/camp market in mind.
This weekend we also slept and rested a lot, played some board games with friends (my wife won) and watched some DVD of 'The OC' and 'Wonderfalls'. I highly recommend 'Wonderfalls' for those of you that have sly, witty, sarcastic senses of humor. A truly great show.
