You know, didn't even realize just how much these past few months, going back to the beginning of the year, really, have basically been about playing the Trails of Cold Steel games. I mean, hey, when each of them is 80+ hours - spread out to an hour or two a day, and of course, not *every day* - that's a LOT OF days already! Plus, hey, the way these games are, they do get more and more involved and elaborate. Though, again, and I've said this a couple of times already, but, still - it's rare, I think, to see a game where the main point or theme or message gets pushed so much. Be kind, considerate, honorable, humble - good to your friends - and your friendswill help you when you need their help, and so will so many other people who you don't even realize are your friends!
Actually, I think this is also *why* I have been enjoying this game so much. It's like, for everything else that's going on in my life, for every thing that I *don't do*, every thing that I'm not good at, every thing that didn't work out - I have my small successes in this, and small accomplishments. Moving forward a bit, clearing missions, building up the social links. Small things, so small. But, they're what I have!
[still, though - and this comes up *especially* once I look through the FAQ for the parts that I already wrapped up - *still* don't know how I feel about how, so many of the small - but interesting - parts of this game *are* pretty much impossible to find unless you go through the FAQ. Like, are you *really* going to talk to every single character, whether one of your party members, or one of the NPC's, to update their profiles, unlock recipes, open hidden quests - especially if this is something that you would have to do like every time you're in a new town, or every time there's been a major plot development? And, for that matter, how are you even supposed to know that, oh, if you go back to where you fought a boss battle, there's now going to be a very specific item at that spot!]
But, after all of that - all I'll say is, man, it's gonna be a long wait for Trails of Cold Steel III!
