September, What?
Where did September go? It disappeared in a whirl of 8 back-to-school nights, special ed meetings, hockey meetings, school paperwork, sports paperwork, dance, dr appointments, hosting Bookworm's bday, hosting Rosh Hashanah, and volunteer events.
Worst thing? jpgr had to cancel her visit.
Best thing? Besides the lovely Bookworm turning 16? Coming across a Challenger ice hockey program for Shrek, who is obsessed with hockey and is one happy guy.
Almost as good was introducing the fellow running the hockey program to the fellow who runs our other Challenger sports programs, and watching them hit it off and make great plans for the future. Good guys win!
Good things to come in October? The Mets season will, mercifully, end. The Devils will begin. I have a birthday, yay. And who knows what new adventures the kids will bring to me?
