Last night its busy as all get out on our side of town. Dispatcher D (who no one on the street likes for many reasons) puts out a hit and run leaving a supermarket.
"suspect vehicle is last seen leaving north on Ewing".
Ewing being an east/west street, some distance away is incorrect, and she should know this. I key up and ask:
"Dispatch is there anything further because Ewing runs east/west".
She replies "I have nothing further, last seen leaving north on Ewing"
In a very exasperated tone I reply "you're right north on Ewing then".
She still didnt get it. Dispatching is a hard job. One that I wouldn't want to do, but at least be good at it, if youre going to do it. Go beyond what the screen tells you.
