Watching Lion (2016) and bawling my goddamn eyes out.
The opening scene with the children got me right away. It hit too close to home, because its the same cycle of poverty we have in the Philippines. I couldn't stop crying relating to the accuracy of emotions and events in the movie. I started having an internal dialogue with myself; what if I were to have a discussion with someone about the realities of world countries, and that your 1st world privilege doesn't apply here.
Okay, back to the movie. I tend to get distracted and will often play with my phone to look something up while in the middle of watching something.
