So, another piece of poetry. I wrote this as a part of a challenge on allpoetry (the site where I post pretty much all of my stuff); basically, you were given a title, and had to write a poem around it.

Okay, yeah, so I finally have something else to post. I wrote this one a couple weeks ago, inspired by a couple stories my parents told me. Self-explanatory for the most part, but also contains allusions to Greek Mythology and MASSIVE allusions to The Waste Land.

Alright, so I have a new poem I just got finished writing two days ago.

This one started out just about a quote of John Lennon's, and then started contemplating religious issues I have, and... I dunno. Really, I don't. But I like how it turned out.

I wrote this thinking about the Bush administration's refusual to ban torture (despite their claims the US doesn't torture people), as well as the recent scandal of Abu Ghraib, and aspects of the Patriot Act that enable the government to hold a person in custody indefinitely, without any charges being made (for example, at Guantanamo Bay).
