Hi everyone! Since I know plenty of you know lots of obscure foods, I was wondering if anyone could help me identify a type of pasta I used to eat!

It is very small, like to the point where you don't really have to chew it, and looks like miniature macaroni that was sliced into pieces shaped like cylinders. There is a hole in the middle of them. I looked here and none of these really look right. I did find one type called ditalini, but it looks too big. I'd say the pieces are about half the size of that. It honestly looks like mush when it's all cooked and just sitting in a bowl. Does anyone know what this is? My mom used to buy it for me when I was little, in American grocery stores (specifically, Food Lion) but it disappeared when I was about 10.
