Synopsis: Because the pink trees above them were cotton candy trees in a giant snow globe because that’s what the world really was.
Comments: At the end.
Hiroto was a strange person, Shou thought. The hyperactive guitarist was always rattling on about something that never made sense to anyone but himself, and he always had the strangest views on even the simplest of topics. He was outlandish in a good way and perfectly dreamful, although most people wouldn’t see him in such a light --he was sure-- if they got to actually know him.
He liked to be out, but nowhere in particular. He just went. In most cases, he wasn’t alone because as weird as Hiroto was, Shou always found him interesting. When everyone else laughed at Hiroto’s odd descriptions of something as small as a tree, Shou listened and tried his best to look at whatever it was from the smaller man’s point of view.
Because the pink trees above them were cotton candy trees in a giant snow globe because that’s what the world really was. From time to time the snow would fall because someone shook the earth; Hiroto assumed it was a pixie who controlled the weather, not Mother Nature. It was the pixie who shook the earth to make it snow, and when Shou stated that pixies were small and couldn‘t possibly shake the earth, Hiroto shot back with a ‘maybe we’re the real pixies trapped inside the snow globe.’
Shou always tried to understand what the younger man was saying, always tried to look at the world from Hiroto's eyes because he simply wanted to understand Hiroto. There was a child-like innocence to the other man, an innocence that made everything seem so much more enjoyable, an innocence that would wrap around him and make him feel the happiness he could hear in Hiroto's voice every time he described something. There was always a sparkle in the man's eyes and a smile on his face, and behind every smile and sparkle was another optimistic and sometimes odd view of the world they lived in.
Hiroto was a strange person, Shou thought, but he wouldn't mind getting to know the hyperactive guitarist more. He wanted to be able to look inside his mind and see the inner workings, and he wanted to see everything that made up the other man because Hiroto wasn't like any other person he had ever encountered. Hiroto was simply Hiroto; nothing more and nothing less.
A/N: I had this written some time ago, at least a little bit of it. It's always been something sitting in the back of my mind waiting to be finished, and it wasn't until I looked over it earlier that I realized it was basically already done. It isn't a story that's meant to drag on, it's a simple drabble-like story showing the mind of one and the interest of another. Even if it is simple and short and doesn't drag on, I hope you guys like it and comment to let me know what you thought.
