I was beyond excited to hear that Neil Finn (of Crowded House fame) had recorded a song for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. The the tune is what was used for the dwarves' song that you've heard in the trailer, but the lyrics are original.

I have always been a huge fan of great film scores, and it's a branch of filmmaking that has been foundering in the neighborhood of "mostly dead" for a few years now (Hans Zimmer's AMAZING score for Inception excepted, of course).
