- Let me get this out of the way first. I don't hate American Hustle. It's an okay movie, nothing special, and to be honest I'm not invested enough to hate it. It feels sad to say, but I think I may have outgrown the Oscars. I don't think I've ever been so "meh" about a ceremony since I've started watching. The magic and the movie-love was just missing.
