I has a floor!
Yesterday was tiring but fun. I did massive amounts of laundry and I figured something out. For the past few days, the lint trap in the dryer has been filled with little wads of paper. Apparently, an envelope (hopefully one not too important) fell into the washing machine and disintegrated. I think the bulk of it has been cleaned out. The big clue was finding the remains of the little plastic window in the bottom of the washing machine. Frustrating.
Jaelynn was a big help and really got me motivated to clean. At first, I thought that she was just gonna hang out and keep me company. I was wrong. She took charge and really got things organized. I still have a long way to go, but now the task doesn't seem nearly as daunting. We broke for the evening and watched a bit of tv. We fooled around a bit (She was nervous and I didn't want to push it. Not a great combination.) and had fun. When she left around 2:00am, I took stock of what I needed to do and cancelled the substituting I had scheduled for Friday and Tuesday. I wanted to get more done at home and subbing would have robbed me of valuable time.
As of now, laundry is done and put away, bed is made and the extra blankets are stored and I can see my floor. It is a work in progress, but I'm quite proud of where it is now.
