Ugh. I just read this fic that started out decently, but as it progressed, turned into bad!fic. Horrible. It also dealt with a pretty major situation in the worst way. On the updated profile page, hm. I use profiles a lot, so all this changing is a bit annoying. I much preferred the last update. I liked the grey, even if it didn’t exactly go the best with lj colours, the blue is just hideous. Working on a fandom newsletter is awesome in quite a few ways, but one way it is not is the exposure to copious amounts of badfic. It's so depressing to know that people write such crap, and even worse, get others commenting on how 'great' is it. It kind of makes me want to cry. ( These kinds of fic feature lovelies such as: )

When I think of recs, I think a story someone enjoyed and is trying to get others to enjoy it too. Now tell me, how can you possibly 'recommend' a story to someone if you don't give them anything to go on? To me, if it doesn't have a reason why you liked it, then it's not a rec and as such, do not create a 'rec site' and just give people titles, ( Read more... )
