Random late night commenting *g*

I do not believe that that could possibly be anything within school rules, Fred. Who are you hiding it from?

*raises an eyebrow* Hiding something? Moi?

Please don't tell me that you're going to be spreading whatever it is around the school? We have exams coming up.

*stows letter in pocket* Alright, Granger, I do very sincerely promise that I won't do anything to interfere with your exams. *grins* I take all educational matters extremely seriously.

*scoffs. grins*
Yes, I'm sure you do.

I am sitting my OWLs this year, Fred.

*grins wickedly*

And I'm sure you'll outdo yourself in them.

*grins automatically*

I hope so. There is so much to go through, and some of the declentions in Ancient Runes can be very confusing.

*smirks* Confusing, eh?

Well, I predict a row of Outstandings in your future. *pause* Only you don't like Divination, do you Granger?

Ancient Runes inflects different sylables depending on the gender of the noun. Usually the gender of a noun is clear from its declention. But I always forget that erwita, which means 'army' is neuter because of the 'i,' even though it looks masculine because of the 'er.' If it were masculine, the 'er' would be inflected, but the 'wit' is because it is neuter. In the plural accusative, it is erruta, which is also the singluar genetive of 'stone', enruta.

No, I do like Divination, at all.

*looks stunned and impressed* That is... that is certainly confusing.

*interestedly* Why not?

Yep.

Missing negatives, argh!

It's incredibily imprecise, and relies almost wholely on the skills of the interpreter. It is too easily forged or manipulated. And wanting to know the future is stupid. I don't believe there's any such thing as a genuine prophecy. And in all the stories about them, knowing what's going to happen never helps.

*teasing* Best leave the rune-work to geniuses like you then.

Yeah, knowing what's going to happen take out all the fun.

*knows that he's teasing and tries not to grin at 'genius'*

That might be the point. I know about your idea of fun.

*eyebrows raise, grinning* Oh, you do, do you?

What, pray tell, is my idea of fun?

Bribing first years to test your products, generally disrupting classes and distracting people from the things they should be doing. Blowing things up.

*grins* That sounds about right. And those first-years aren't bribed - they're willing volunteers.
