How? How can you call taking a little kitten who hasn't done anything the same as an accident? Brasidas could die! He could have caught something now. He isn't supposed to go near other people or cats or anything until he's seen the vet and had his shots and how he could get sick and he could die and it would all be Regulus's fault!

It was a petty thing to do, yeah. But... the kitten didn't die. If we punished people for what could happen because of things they do... *breaks off, expression turning a little grim* ...well, we can't do that.

Pathetically soft? Because I care about these kittens? or because I don't fit your image of a sneaky Slytherin brat? You hate it, don't you? You hate that I'm friends with your friends because what you'd really like to be able to do is hex me and be congratulated for it, like you are when you attack Snape or anyone else. But you know if you laid a finger on me their'd be reprocusions. That's why you hate me. I won't fit into your rules about how things are supposed to work.
