Jo!
He asked me! I'm dancing around my room now with a silly grin on my face. I don't think I realised how much it was bothering me till he finally did it! So I was sitting with Katie and Alicia he just yelled across the common room and i said 'yes'. Katie said that I had a silly smile on my face from it and teased me about blushing. So I had to

Oh, wow! You got the date you wanted, huh? And everybody is happy?
*glumly*
Or at least it sounds like everybody is more excited in your group of friends then in mine...
*hugs*
Well, truly, I'm happy for you! I hope you have a nice time at the Ball.
I'm so sorry to be a bother, but just a small note. This is about the Yule Ball, yes? If so, I think the year should be 1994. Of course, totally disregard if I'm wrong!
Reply
Well yes, I think it all worked out. Made up for all the horridness over the last week or so when I was convinced Fred had asked some silly Ravenclaw girl.
Its not all fantastic though. Lee is sulking now and won't talk to me. I hope I haven't messed things up for him and Fred now.
*hugs back fiercely*
Don't worry! It will all work itself out sweetie! Mum has been telling me all week that the Ball isn't the end of the world after all!
*grins* and we get to be all girly and dress up! Get out of boring school uniform for a night!
*facepalms* eek! Thank you! *I checked and you are completely right. I have no idea what I was doing! *hugs*
Reply
Dances just cause such messes, don't they?
*small smile*
I hope it will work itself all out.
*brightens*
Dressing up will be great! I'm pretty pleased with my dress...
*face falls*
Though Hannah and I were going to get ready together... I hope she won't be too upset to do that now...
*sighs*
See, dances equal messes...
Oh, you're welcome. I'm glad I could help. *hugs*
Reply
Yes. Horrible messes. Or maybe its just boys who cause the messes?
*smiles with her enthusiasm*
I love my dress to. Although I'm really hoping it arrives soon. Mum was altering it a bit, taking ina couple of seams. Then she was going to send it to me, but it hasn't arrive yet! *stresses slightly*
*comfortingly*
You will both sort it out. You are both such good friends to let something like this get in the way. On the night you will both be excited and nervous and you'll enjoy having the company I'm sure!
*tries to be optimistic for her*
Do you have jewellry? My grannie has lent me the necklace she wore for her first Ball. It is beautiful, with a deep green stone in a pendant on a gold chain.
Reply
You could be on to something there with the boys...
*pats her shoulder*
Don't worry! I'm sure it will get here in time! Your mum will make sure of it! And you will look beautiful in it!
*bites her lip*
*furrows brow*
I hope you're right...
*smiles*
I have a little bit of jewelry. That was sweet of your grannie -- it sounds like a really pretty necklace!
*face falls*
*sighs*
I'm supposed to lend Hannah a necklace... What if she doesn't want it anymore?
Reply
*hugs*
I'm sure Hannah will still want to borrow your necklace. Have you asked her?
*thinks then breaks into a smile*
Well you know what Alicia and Katie and I do when the boys get to much?
Girl Time!
*plops down on a squishy beanbag*
yes, ok. I know they aren't in the same house, but maybe there are beanbags in the library?... or something *grins*
Care to join me?
The only thing to sort out that sad look on your face is CHOCOLATE!
Don't worry! Not the twins chocolate. Honeydukes Extra Creamy Dark Chocolate!
*offers block*
*bites into piece*
mmm. SO good!
So did you want to read a silly girly magazine? I've got Alicia's Witches en Vogue if you want to laugh at the latest ridiculous fashions from France? Or Quidditch Weekly but I don't know if you'd be interested in that.
Reply
*with resolve*
But you know, I think I will.
*small smile*
Sure, I'll join you!
*curls up on a beanbag as well*
*g* I'm cool with it! It's sort-of Room-of-Requirement-like...
*reaches for a small piece of chocolate*
*chews slowly, thinking*
Chocolate makes everything better, doesn't it?
*continues nibbling at chocolate*
*small smile becomes a grin*
All right, let's have a look at some of those so-called fashions.
lol! Susan from the future is thinking Quidditch? Nooooo! Definitely not interested in Quidditch, especially after the horrible date with Colin to the match!
Reply
good for you! I'm sure it will all be fine *smiles reassuringly*
yeah! Definately Room-of-Requirement-like...
*notices Susan taking the smallest piece*
Here.. *breaks chunk off*
Chocolate makes everything better. Its directly proportional: the more chocolate you eat, the better things are!
*grabs self some chocolate*
*chews contendly*
*flips open nearest magazine and chokes*
How could you walk in those shoes!? I mean really! I'm definately a tomboy, but a girl at heart - give me Madam Malkins beautiful robes anyday - but this? *giggles* She looks kinda like a poodle.
Understands completely! Daft beggars, boys, aren't they?!
Reply
*sincerely*
But, thank you.
*grins*
Wow! Thanks!
*eyes the huge hunk of chocolate and laughs*
Well, if happiness is proportional to the amount of chocolate one eats, everything ought to be great after that!
*eyes widen while looking at the magazine*
Ohmygosh! I'm glad my shoes don't look like that. I'd probably break my ankles!
*giggles at the poodle comparison*
*points at another witch in pink robes*
And this one is just too, too pink.
*the witch in the magazine makes a pout-y face at the girls*
Reply
Thats the general idea. And if just eating chocolate gets boring there is muffins and cakes and brownies and icecream and you can always put chocolate with fruit. The list is endless!
*waves cheekily at the pouting witch*
Padma or Parvati would look good in those pink robes though.. *looks again*... well actually, maybe not those ones. They are shockingly pink!
I love deep green. I think its a beautiful colour to wear (pity the Slytherins spoil it for everyone). What's your favourite colour?
*feels silly asking such a question, but at least she's got Susan's mind off her troubles for a while...*
Reply
Wow! That's a lot of different forms of chocolate.
*nods*
That's true. Pink is a good color for them.
*looks at Angelina closely*
Dark green would be a great color on you.
Me? I like purple, light purple best of all.
*flips a couple of pages*
There. *points* Like that lavender color.
Reply
I've had a lot of time to consider the possibilties!
*smiles*
Thanks!
*looks at page*
I think that'd be a lovely colour on you. It would really compliment your tones
*dies* *can't beleive how girly she's being!*
*looks closly at next page where a model is wearing amethyst drop earrings*
Actually I think those earings would look lovely on you as well.
*pokes picture till the model flicks her hair over her shoulder*
*glances at Susan's ears*
Do you have your ears pierced?
Reply
You're welcome.
*blushes*
Thank you.
*nods*
Yep, my ears are pierced.
*looks closely at the model's earrings*
My Auntie has a pair of earrings like that. I think they're the prettiest things ever. She says some day, when I'm older, she'll give them to me.
Are your ears pierced? Have you planned out jewelry to wear to the Ball?
Reply
Yep, I've got two holes. The first pair I got done when I was a baby, mum and dad took me to do it. The second set of holes I got with Jo on holidays last year in France. I normally just wear studs though. It is too much trouble to fuss with jewellry every day.
*smiles*
Wow. You're really lucky to be getting such beautiful things from your Auntie. I think its wonderful to have family treasures to pass down.
*nods with a huge grin*
My Grannie is lending me her pendant for the ball, it goes with my dress beautifully. Its a dark green stone on a coppery gold chain. She said she's leaving me it in her Will.
Reply
*looks at the double ear piercing*
You have two holes! That's so cool.
I want to get my ears pierced again someday.
That's quite nice of your Grannie. The earrings are in my Auntie's will, too. So even though the earrings are pretty, I don't want them just yet!
*considers for a moment*
What shoes are you going to wear to the dance? Do they have heels?
Reply
Thank you! It stings though doesn't it?! I'd like a hole at the top of one of my ears too, but Mum is against it, so I'll just wait till I finish school.
wonder what the official Hogwarts Jewellry Policy is? *giggles
*hesitates*
I'm actually really nervous about having the necklace. I don't want to lose it or damage it in anyway. But I'm honoured that my Grannie thinks I'm adult enough to wear it out.
*grabs some more chocolate and relaxes back into the beanbag*
Shoes... They are like soft slip on shoes, dark green like my dress. Kind of like Ballet shoes (if you know what Ballet is?) None of this stiletto stuff! I'm tall enough as it is, and far more use to wearing Quidditch boots. If I wore really high shoes I'd probably break my ankle.
