Friday night Dave got in around 9:45. I was waiting impatiently on my front porch with my dad for him to arrive. And finally he did. We got a fajita dinner at Maudie's and then went to Bull Creek. We proceeded to receive park curfew violation citations. Which will cost me (us both) a cool $166. I guess that's how much privacy costs.
Saturday I don't even know. I think we went to 360 Primo and then to Golden Wok. After that we went to Terry's house on the misleading idea that there was a party. Nope. Just a small get together. But I talked to Charlie & Marina and I feel relieved that it wasn't an awkward or wholly unpleasant encounter. After that it was Starbucks tangerine drinks and doodling around.
Sunday we putzed around and then went to Dairy Queen for a real quick lunch before I had to go to work. I went in and worked an hour past what I expected. When I got home Dave was a-waitin' in the living room. And what a nice surprise he can be. And too boot, he also brought me flowers making it a double surprise. They are gorgeous and smell gorgeous and from a gorgeous boy, they are that much more gorgeous. We went to Amy's and had some ice cream and strolled around the Arboretum for a bit. I was being a jerk to him on Sunday night and into...
... Monday morning. I feel bad about it now but of course being the wonderful person that he is, realizes that I'm just a freak for not wanting to be kissed for a 12 hour period. We went to Johnny Carino's for lunch (where they don't charge tips to your CC) and enjoyed each other's company for a while before he would be leaving. Back at the house we just 'sat around' in my room. Then I had to get ready for work, and he had to head back to Arlington. So we said our goodbyes, which was surprisingly and nicely easy and short.
Tuesday I missed him, and I still do. But I didn't work. In fact I slept until almost 6pm and then went to have coffee with Remington. Coversation with him is awesome as usual and we just couldn't shut up. But I had a movie date with Flea, Gwendal and Sheldon. We saw John Tucker Must Die. And yes it was enjoyable. Then Flea and I talked for a bit and had Taco B. Hmm.. then I stayed up until 6am.
This morning, though, I woke up at a bit before 9am because I was having frightening dreams about the tripods from War of the Worlds. I'm sitting here after a sausage, egg and 3-pieces-of-toast-breakfast with painting the house and making brownies looming ahead of me. Add in blue jean shopping and seeing The Descent with Flea (and Gwendal and Sheldon?) tonight, and I'm just one happy camper.
