Waking up isn't pleasant no matter how you slice it, IF you haven't had enough sleep. This morning was like that. I pulled it together and ate waffles with jelly for breakfast, knowing I would only be at the office for an hour or so.
It ended up I was there for nearly 7 hours. I got some free food out of the deal. It's more money in my pocket. So I feel better about it in retrospect.
Getting your car inspected is necessary no matter how you slice it, but the inspection guy was sick today. So his note said. That means no re-inspection until tomorrow. I hope he feels better soon.
Napping is very pleasant no matter how you slice it. Even if you have crazy, half-awake, possibly lucid dreams about best friends in mansion hotels and pretending to have cancer for no reason. It involved trying to get ready, finding something to wear, trying to find a means to shave my legs, a 'rexy JBugg, shaving my head, a cancer convention, shrinking under a table, Caitlin and Cracka waiting, and no water behind the desk man. And a lot more.
Drinking coffee and talking about childhood and puberty and sex and friends for hours with a great friend is awesome... no matter how you slice it. Even though we may not agree on childbirth and possibly a few other things, the talks I have with Jitter Bugg are fun.
Remington joined us for about an hour and we sat and talked with him. After that we got more coffee from the gas station. We sat and talked at the gas station, not knowing what else to do. Trying desperately to think of people who would want to hang out with us at 11pm. The attempts we made failed, so we decided to go to "Rapist Park" AKA North Oaks. It was very creepy there, which set a tone for the rest of the night (thinking everything was a drive-by, homeless people and crackheads were definitely going to kill us, etc.). After that we went with a safe bet and swung by Kerbey Lane. We got Chris and Robbie in trouble with the Gav-meister for distracting them while they were supposed to be working.
Roaches on your car are creepy no matter how you slice it. I drove fast hoping it would fly off onto the highway on our way to Wal Mart, but it got smart and found shelter from the wind on the back window of the truck. When we arrived at Wal Mart it was still there, so we made a big ordeal about getting it off of the truck with a broom.
In Wal Mart we tried on several, and by several I mean dozens, of psychotic outfits and snapped photos of them. A few include us looking like we weigh 500 pounds (literally!), and a lot of them we look like mothers, a few of us looking like guys, and one of us in scrubs.
Getting told in Wal Mart that pictures are not allowed is dumb and annoying no matter how you slice it. We rebelled (hah) and took a few more pictures of us checking out the watermelons after old guy told us to stop with the pics. Then we took pictures of us climbing on the manure bags out front, and on the chained swing sets in the grass that had invisible ants on them.
We took more pictures at the creepy abandoned theatre on Lake Creek. And then more pictures at the creepy Jefferson Center on Parmer @ 620. We filled up my big memory card, and almost filled up my little one. The camera cord to enable uploading has yet to arrive on my doorstep in package-form. But hopefully it will be here soon and more picture taking may.. take.. (picture) place.
Going to bed is nice no matter how anyone slices it. I know I had a good day even if it didn't turn out as I thought it would. I am ready to go to bed, and I am even more ready for tomorrow. I'm sure there is more to write but that would take a lot more effort than I am willing to expend/expel/exwhatever.
