Assistant Manager? Awesomeistant Manager?

Suddenly my middle finger is swollen and my ring will not come off. It's no matter why I decided I wanted to take it off. Actually, I didn't decide I wanted to take it off, just a reflex of some sort.

That is really beside the point, though, because I was promoted to Assistant Manager at Janie + Jack last Monday. I have been in training since then, and so far I really love it. It's not really much different than.. anything really. But it holds more responsibility, and, I mean, it's a title!

Now, having just had french toast for breakfast, I will soon go in to cover someone's shift. And at 9.50 an hour, how can I complain? I'm excited to get to work with my manager since she's been on vacation during my training. Tomorrow night I will work with her again and I will close the store all by myself. Which is pretty much the extent of my training. Deposits and registers and whatnot.

Jessica will likely be moving to Dallas soon, and that is more than a saddening fact. I know it isn't that far away and it's not that big of a deal. I've dealt with friends moving much further, but then I might actually have to spend time with people other than her? What's that about? Hahaha.

But I guess spending time with other people isn't so bad, because lately I've been hanging out with Sheldon more. We get along and it's real easy to talk to him. I enjoy his company and he enjoys scary movies just as much as I do! We've watched Silent Hill, The Descent, Urban Legend and other such scary movies together.

Also, we still have one kitten, with no name, and no permenant home. She's so sweet and it makes me sad that with the next litter that the mother may be having, the new kittens and this one will likely be going to a shelter. I would really like to find her a home before that. She's so playful, but so cuddly, too.

In conclusion, everything is nice and steady and beautiful.
