That was a weekend full of madness. Mad in the way of work - there's just too much of it - and mad in the way of... well, insanity.

Yesterday was fun.

Well, work was ordinary, but afterwards came dinner with my three lovely study mates, which was fun, and then drinks & holidayplanning with my friend K.

To summarize the conversation: drinks and philosophy feed on each other.

I went back to bed at 5 am, fell asleep around 6 (book in hand, lights on, and Cat blisfully nestled against my stomach) and slept - mercifully without dreaming - until 10.

I still wasn't feeling my best when I got up, but the day has steadily improved since.

I lost 35 pounds last year, but put about 15 back on... so I'm back on a diet - before I get all the pounds back! Apart from it obviously looking better, losing weight is also better for my health and not in the least my crappy knees, in which torn ligaments and missing bits of cartilage abound.
