Thank you, dear festividder, for stopping by and THANK YOU for making a vid - I'm excited and hope you have fun making whatever you make!
I generally love happy, feel-good things, found families, parodies or genre-benders (ie. like making a rom com vid from an action movie, etc) and all sorts of wacky nonsense. I also like action and explosions and space battles and car chases and triumphing over evil. Ensemble vids, character vids, shippy vids, lord king bad vids, recruitment vids... I like all the vid styles.
In case you're searching for ideas, I've rambled on about the shows/movies I selected below. If you already have a vid idea for any of these sources, please run wild with it! I often adore vids to songs/genres I'm unfamiliar with so I'm VERY open to any style you're looking to vid.

Space: Above and Beyond
I have such a soft spot for this show, still. I liked the developing friendship between Shane Vansen/Cooper Hawkes, but would also welcome a team vid (the team dynamic really hit that "found-family" button for me) or any sort of character study. I like all the wild cards.
Stargate Universe
I'm here for ALL the supporting characters and all the BFF'ery. I loved the friendship between TJ and Scott and so rarely see that explored. I liked Camile and Greer, the way their animosity turned to something bordering on mutual respect. I also adored every interaction Brody had on the show. Volker's crush on Linda Park, her relationship with Greer, Vanessa remaining badass, etc.
The Expanse
There's a little of everything; character arcs, political intrigue, and SPACE! While I would adore another vid about the Roci crew (there can never be too many, right?), I'd also love to see a character study for Chrisjen or Namoi, a vid about Belters, or a world-building vid about living in space. With this show, there are so many characters to choose from and so many interesting arcs. What's your favorite thing? because I can't decide
Star Trek Discovery
We're not that far into this series yet, but I am thrilled to have Trek back on TV again. I really like the changes they've made in terms of ship/uniform design and think it has a great aesthetic (if unfortunately not well lit at times). A character vid for Michael or some sort of action vid that plays with the crew dynamics would be great.
The Martian
The audiobook to this movie is still one of my all-time favorites. The movie did an amazing job of bringing the story to life and included so many great moments. I'd love a Mark Watney character study or something about how science is badass.
Office Space
Milton/red stapler (I ship it). I don't even know where to start with this, but 'working man' or '9 to 5' or 'manic monday' would all be awesome themes.
A Knight's Tale
I love the anachronisms in this movie - middle ages paired with classic rock? Awesome. Something triumphant that plays up to the underdog winning and overcoming obstacles paired with comedic moments and ridiculous costumes would be terrific.
Suffragette
I like Maude's story, that of a working class woman turned social activist. She overcame the loss of her family and home, the loss of her job, imprisonment and still managed to help 'save' Maggie from sexual abuse while fighting for the cause. I envision some sort of song full of empowerment and of winning the good fight.
