Last week at work was all about starting to get our paperwork in order, getting the classroom back in order, basically starting to put our whole school year in order. Our first day back we got to find out who our new primary and secondary kids are. I was happy to see that I would NOT be working with the little boy who I had been with for the past two years. He had been my primary for my first year and last year he and another boy had been my secondaries.
It's not that I didn't want to work with him again, but that I really wanted to work with different kids. So I was happy. My new main kid is a boy I'd been working with all summer and my secondary is a girl I worked with occasionally last year, who is very sweet and funny.
Well, that was how it was supposed to be. Our room teacher, went on a home visit to my last years secondary boy, and when his mother found out that I didn't have him, apparently she pitched a fit. And unfortunately, she's someone that they seem to like to placate, so I may be screwed and stuck with him for another year. If that happens, it doesn't just affect me, but it affects everyone else too, because we had a system of how we were all partnered up with same person, and we had the same two kids.
Also, my last year's secondary, is supposed to move up to a different school after half a school year. Neither I or his pimary tutor want to leave. But she has seniority over me, so you know how that will go.
So I have no idea if I seemed stressed or not to anyone this weekend, but if I did, that's why.
Anyway, better things! Friday night, was Marie's Sex Party! Woooooooo oooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooo!
Ok, done. It was actually an Athena Party, and was lots of fun. I actually only bought some sedate stuff this time.
Saturday: I got up early and went with my parents to see Jen at her new apartment in the city. We dropped off some of her stuff, loaded up the car to take some back and we all had breakfast/lunch at this awesome little French style cafe place close by. Actually, it was right across from the Diner they used in Seinfeld so that was cool to see. After some assorted errands we got home. In the pm I headed up to hang with Moosa.
We had dinner at Rainbow and then rented SNL: The Best of Jon Lovitz. Watching it I realized, Jon Lovitz is really not that funny. At all. But it was a nice evening all the same.
Sunday: We had tickets to see The Wedding Singer again. It was a 7:30 pm curtain so we headed into the city about 4 pm. I looked at the "At This Performance" board and was not surprised to see that Stephen Lynch wasn't in again. It turned out to be the same guy as last time playing Robbie, which was fine because he was awesome. The way we were seated, because of the short notice on buying our tickets, was that I sat in Row E, Mom sat right behind me in Row F, and Dad was behind her in Row G. As we were waiting for the show to start, this family from Boston sat next to me and their teenage son and I commiserated on the lack of Stephen Lynch.
But like last time, even without him, the show was SO GOOD!!! And hey, thank the Goddess freakin' Constantine doesn't start for another 2 weeks. At the end of the show, They throw out the bouquet and the garter into the audience. The bouquet went flying back into crowd way high above our heads. But the garter, came right towards me. Actually more to the girl next to me, but she was staring at it like it was a piece of moldy cheese, so I reached my hand up and totally caught it. Free Stuff, Wooooo!
Oh! Just before the curtain went down, they seated two people right in front of me. A man and his wife. The man was Barry Williams. Greg Brady, awesome!
And then today: I pretty much did nada. We got home late last night so I seriously slept in. Not pretty much, I TOTALLY did nada. They repeated Sharpe's Challenge, the new Sharpe movie on BBC America, so I got to watch both parts back to back. Suffice it to say, I'm down with the Beanie Goodness. It makes up for not being able to see his past few or future movies.
Oh! I got me some swanky new icons! In honor of the Season Premiere of House tom'w night, Here's a new, new one. And as if you could forget, Season Premiere of Nip/Tuck too!!
And Lost Season 2 comes out on dvd!
But I prob won't get that untl the weekend. Goooooooo Amazon!
