Overdue Weekend Update
Friday, my last one off for the summer was a good one. Marie and I saw You, Me, & Dupree. It was very funny. Owen Wilson never seems to disappoint. Good times.
Saturday, Mom, Dad, and I had tickets for Jersey Boys. We met Jen at Grand Central first and we all had lunch. Before we headed to the theatre for Jersey Boys, Bonnie wanted to go to the box office for The Wedding Singer to see when they had decent seats available, because she was sure it was a show Dad would want to see. Well it turns out, they had seats for this upcoming Sunday night, so, the day before Labor Day, we'll be back in the city, hopefully Stephen Lynch will be in it this time.
Anyway, Jersey Boys was awesome! So worth the hype, and it's Tony for Best Musical. Great show!
Sunday was a blah day. Did my errands, food shopping, whatever. The Emmy's, aside from the opener, Jon Stewart & Stephen Colbert, and The Office winning, pretty much sucked.
Monday, Scott and I saw Idlewild. It's the Outkast movie-musical-thing. I didn't have any feelings about it either way, but Scott really wanted to see it, so we went. It was really good. After the movie, we went to Borders, where we had lunch at their cafe and Scott bought the Idlewild cd. I downloaded the whole thing from iTunes when I got home.
Which brings us to today. Today was the first day for the staff to report for work. Most of the kids start tom'w. Our kids don't actually start until the 7th, which is sweet! Anyway, it was good to see some people who I hadn't seen all summer. We spent the day going through a list of room prep things, which we made a HUGE dent in.

They want to move Lil's class to a different school. No joke, they told her TODAY. She, as are Scott and I, really really really pissed. She demanded a meeting with the department head, and the last I saw or heard from her, she was speeding off to th administration building. I feel so sorry for those guys.
