we had a screening for class today, and i have to tell you about it, even though most of you probably haven't even seen the film. it was lover come back, a 1961 comedy featuring rock hudson and doris day. omg, i haven't laughed that hard at a film in a long, long time. i love the comedies they did together anyway, but this one was exceptional. i don't think this kind of campiness can be topped. *ponders* nope, i don't think it's possible. if i ever teach a class about queerness in hollywood cinema, this will so be on the list of films to show! i could elaborate by telling you about specific scenes, but i'll spare you. rest assured this movie is gay from beginning to end.
so, this put me in a ridiculously good mood, which i'll have to restrain a little when i'll have to discuss kittler's assertion that there is no software or hagen's interest in the history of programming languages or dibbel's claim that computer viruses are the future management tools of global networks in my seminar tonight :).
