I have a life again... FINALLY!!!
So my semester is official over! woohoo! and the report card looks like this...
Computational Chemistry 450: A
Physical Chemistry II 466: A
Physical Chemistry Lab 470: A
African American History 319 WR/CD1: A
Cell and Molecular Biology 329: A- (by far the hardest class I've had in college)
Introduction to Higher Mathematics (Proofs) 311: P (I took the class pass/fail, since you can take one for your minor)
So there ya have it, folks... all A's. My GPA is up well passed a 3.7. I'm gonna try real hard to get it up to a 3.8, so I can graduate Summa next year.
I start my internship Monday with the Med school downtown. I'm super nervous... it's a summer cancer research/education program... I get paid almost 4,000 dollar for 10 weeks/ 400 hrs. So that means 40 hrs a week... blah... but I'll still have somewhat of a summer when it's over.
I am sooooo enjoying this week. I'm about to go to the gym. I think Lauren (Parrish) is gonna meet me up there... she's a gym warrior... I'm still sore from doing arm and shoulder exercises LAST Friday! Oh lordy...
SO I'M ENGAGED! I don't think I've wrote in here for a long time, so I probably haven't mentioned that... my ring is amazing! I think we are looking at August of next year. That way we can finish up school and whatnot, and have time to get everything ready. I've been flipping thru bridal magazines and getting ideas. We just need to figure out where we want to get married... Southeast Christian is looking pretty good right now, because they offer marriage classes, and I really want to take those... I think they will be a good way to start off our marriage, learning what makes a good husband/wife, and starting off centering our relationship on God. so I'm looking forward to that.
Anyway, I'm really excited about the future; it's finally starting to become a reality, and not just a dream. I'm really nervous, but I know everything will work out. Travis is working 40+ hrs a week at Ford, so he's making them dollas... He's trying to save up 10,000 for a downpayment on a house (which he would have already if it wasn't for my ring...haha). He will know in Sept. if he will get hired on and be able to join the union. Right now he is just a temp, but hopefully Sept. will work out to his favor. If not, he has teaching to back him up.
Alright, off to the gym. to get my ass kicked...
