So last night I went climbing for the first time in ages.  I told myself that I would climb simpler things and that I would take care not to overdo it.

I kept reminding myself of this, kept choosing to climb stuff that wouldn't destroy all my hand/forearm strength all in one go.  I was careful.

Yesterday, brooksmoses and I went climbing.  And possibly because I am suggestible, or possibly because he made it look interesting... last night, I climbed my first 5.10b!

And then I had trouble closing the fingers of my right hand into a fist for awhile.  It got better.

Raar. :)

Pain.  My arms were sore the day after, but it took til the second day for my rib-area muscles to realize they weren't happy either.

Increased difficulty in doing things like manipulate a toothpaste tube or pour tea from a teapot. Hygiene and caffeination are important!
