Listening to a story on NPR about early childhood memories and why they seem to disappear as we get older made me think about some of my earlier memories. Maybe in a state as large as Arizona, we should have more than one way to get across it? So that, say, if some jackass gets in an accident on I-10, it doesn't shut down all travel to and from the southern parts of the state? Just sayin'

I disagree with SB1070. Not all of it, but there are parts of that law that are incredibly problematic. I disagree with SB1102 that lets anyone and everyone carry a concealed weapon without a permit. Good: How to train your dragon in 3D on the IMAX. It was pure dragon + Viking fluff, and I loved it! Even if the Vikings were Scottish. I think that The Cat is Toothless. Seriously. She has the eyes, the stubbornness, and that indignant snort!

I had never been to Lake Pleasant (that I know of anyway) and it was perfect - the weather was nice, the water was warm but not scorching and Jen rented Jet Skis. I haven't been on a Jet Ski in AGES. Lots of fun ( Read more... )
