Today was the May Dance at school. All the grades from kindergarten through 8th grade gathered in the yard and did their "dances." There were dances from all styles, including line dancing, salsa, swing dancing and square dancing. Okay, so anybody who reads this should know by now that I'm a teacher. I teach 6th grade math and science and I love this school. There are two 6th grade classes, so they pretty much just rotate between me and the guy who teaches language arts and social studies. Fridays are "wrap up" days in my class. We correct workbooks in science and have a Friday Quiz in math. (The Friday Quiz is a short review that we do each Friday. I write 5 to 10 problems on the board and they have about 10 minutes to answer them on their own piece of paper. Then we correct it in class. They can never get less than a "C" on it ( Read more... )
