1. I love the way the PotW says, "Make this go away" in the scene where Kutner and Taub probe his nose. Can't blame him, really. With a condition like this, you might wonder whether a large piece of duct tape over one's mouth could be counted as proper medication. It might help, certainly.

2. Kutner's comparison of the PotW to Harry Potter is cute, even though what he says is not exactly correct - the hat didn't want to put Harry in Slytherin and he refused, it was Harry himself who immediately declared not to want to go to Slytherin before the hat even got a chance to name a single house. Which I realise has no real impact on the episode, though, so I'll shut up now.

3. The scene with House luring Cuddy to the room the PotW is being examined in is funny - though I think it's a shame that the patient was too preoccupied with Cuddy's Ferrari pistons to use some of his involuntary brutal honesty for a few comments on her bangs.

4. 38? Thirty-eight? Dear Cuddy, I like you and all, but please don't be ridiculous.

5. I also love the House-Wilson interactions in this episode - from the funny and food-stealing to the usual mind games and the serious part. I've missed this.

6. *g* Poor Taub in the scene where House probes him about the alleged racquet ball game with Wilson during the differential diagnosis. He's holding his own pretty well, though (for now, at least). I think I can declare his probation as my favourite new duckling to be officially over.

7. Who's Sandy No-idea-how-to-spell-the-last-name? The 'left-handed pitcher' thing makes me suspect baseball player, in which case I guess it's no surprise that I've never heard that name as I have no clue about that game at all.

8. "Could you keep her away from me?" Heh. Does it make me a bad person if I say "from me too, please?" For very different reasons than the PotW's, obviously.

9. I'm pretty sure refusing to play racquet ball in a morgue would not count as sufficient grounds for dismissal.

10. Seriously. Duct tape. Mouth. Now. Or else perhaps a therapist for the kid for the next couple of years.

11. Chase! Actually speaking more than two short lines! I'm a bit surprised at his protest that he's not a neurosurgeon, though, given that he seems to have developed into quite the all-rounder since he left House's team…

12. Huh. I really hadn't expected the show to ever pick up again on the one seemingly throw-away scene that mentioned Wilson's missing brother, given how it was - what, three years ago? I probably wouldn't even have remembered it if I hadn't rewatched some older episodes not too long ago.

13. Okay, I know Taub and Foreman were a little busy when the patient went haywire after waking up from surgery, but couldn't one of them have taken five seconds to get the wife out of the room - both for her sake and to keep the patient from going into a full-fledge panic attack, which probably wouldn't have improved his condition?

14. There's been all these parallels drawn between House and the patient in this episode, but I still think there's a fundamental difference - the patient had no control over what he's saying and was horrified by it, whereas House is very well aware of what he's doing. It might be in his nature to be that way, but we've seen that he has control and can act differently and play nice when it suits his purpose. Granted, if he tried to keep it up for too long, I guess there's some risk that he might eventually explode, but still.

Overall, I have to say this was one of my favourite episodes by far this season - I enjoyed it much more than any other of the most recent ones. Which is kinda funny given that when it started I was actually a bit disappointed, since I had gotten the episode order mixed up in my head and had thought that this week would be the one with the cat. Oh well - leaves the kitty to look forward to for next week.
