I don't think there is one single better reason why death penalty should be shunned. It's sort of irreversible if you discover contra-evidence later. But of course, for some what matters is the instant gratification and revenge in seeing someone fry in the electric chair.

I don't like that they've transferred the entire database of Danish laws in effect - which works as THE reference for politicians and 'ordinary people' alike - erroneously, so a lot of laws seem to have been signed on January 1st, 1753. Like the King's Law from 1665 and
