the way i see it, we have two problems here.
1) stubbornness and an inability to accept other's advice
2) inability to ask for a personal request

Colleen is intense.
Daddy is intense
Colleen wants to play certain peices
Daddy wants to hear her play certain peices
these two lists don't completely match

then we have drama.

colleen's drama class has definitly refined her skills

first, the virtuous victim, then the scum of the earth.

i can't watch

i can barely listen

i cringe

i cry inside

saying one thing, thinking another

stonefaced letting the discussion wash around her

Dr Jekyl, Mr Hyde,

but at will

what part is needed now? who do i need to be here?

she adapts the role to what is called for

little realizing that she needs to stop the act.

so intelligent, when will she learn?

the best way to be around our parents

admit mistakes, take reasonable responsibility

don't exagerate, don't act the victim

growing up is hard, we are lucky
