Weirdly productive
I had a headache earlier that still isn't gone entirely. I wound up getting up later than intended. But despite the late start, I've been fairly productive, in a weird sort of way.
I got the laundry done, although I didn't do the sheets & pillowcases or the towels. They can wait 'til Monday. Since we're going to Columbus this weekend, I packed the bag. I also washed the dishes so we don't come back to them. I cleaned out my purse and made sure it's got everything I need in it. After forgetting crucial stuff in my backpack the week before last, I'm feeling paranoid about such things. Not really necessary, since the backpack is also coming, but still! I organized the accoutrements for my camera, charged the second battery and made sure I've got the spare memory and spare (freshly charged) battery with me. I also made sure I've got a full charge on the cell phone.
I typed up the minutes from the LSO meeting and had them sent around. I transcribed my notes for syntax and put all the deadlines (all of which are subject to change, of course) in my planning grid. I downloaded the papers from online and email for that class.
I've also been going through bookmarks, checking to make sure they're still active and that they're something I actually want bookmarked, deleting things that are missing or I don't really need, moving things around and generally organizing that stuff. I'm not done with that project yet, but getting close.
I've got an hour before Jim comes home. I could print the syntax articles. I could finish fixing up my bookmarks. I could transcribe notes from phonology and semantics, and put those dates into my planner. I could go through stuff for upcoming classes for the class I'm teaching. Obviously, I can't do all of that in an hour. But I will get something done at least. I also need to organize what I'm taking in my backpack. Primarily stuff I need to read.
Anyway, we'll been in Columbus 'til sometime on Sunday. Not sure when we're leaving there or getting back here. Y'all be good, and if you can't be good, take pictures!
