"Breakfast at Tiffany's"

The weekend is finished. It is behind me. One less weekend in my life.  I spent it as well as I knew how, as well as my capabilities and means allowed.  It was not wasted.  That's for damn sure.

And now the new week is upon me and I will experience it with gusto.  Like the lover of life that I am, I will have it with lusty enthusiasm.  My avarice will have no bounds as a liver of life.

I had a shopping spree at Barns and Noble's yesterday.  I ended up with four books that looked pretty good.  I stumbled across a Truman Capote book and thumbed through it.  He's a good writer (understatement). Turns out this book is actually four short stories.  The first one is Breakfast at Tiffany's which is also the title of the book.  I know the story and heard of it for years and assumed that I'd read it years ago.  I read about five pages but and decided that if I'd read it before I don't have any recollection.  So I bought the thing and reading it now. It's not very long and leads me to believe I never read it.  I hardly never read short stories. Never.  I don't why, I jut want longer stuff. I need loner stuff to get me involved.  Short stories have to be damn good to do that to me, and if they do, they always end too soon.

Still. Can't believe I've never read Breakfast at Tiffiny's.  I read about half of it yesterday and I have no recollection at all on this piece.

Taking a few days off again. That left calf muscle is bothering me again so I'm going to rest it.  I ran 7 miles on it Saturday morning and it did not hinder my stride.  It hurt but was bearable.  I actually ran pretty good on it.  But still. I don't want it to turn into something worse, so I'll rest it a couple day.

Nothing new on the dream side of things.  I had some doozies. One was about work that I don't feel like getting into.  The other ones I don't remember well enough and don't feel like exploring them either.  I just feel like reading right now.
