Well, mom's up the trailer for the week (yes, week) so I have the house to myself. Which is completely unexciting, and changes very little in my day to day routine.
We started up a new roleplaying campaign last night. It's D&D 3.5, but using the Eberron setting, which I think is REALLY cool. Imagine a setting where there's technology that's powered by magic, and you're almost there. I really like the style of the whole thing and am going to enjoy playing my character. He's (well, it, really) a warforged, which is a living machine and is an awesome race in general. I decided I needed to get some of the books for this setting, and was planning on heading to the mall when I found out that
Stiggybaby's is closing! This was the best place to find roleplaying books online, and they're dumping all their merchandise. Everything is 50% off, so I grabbed the books I was after and a new set of dice. I also went ahead and ordered a TV tuner for my PC. Which seems pointless considering how much TV I actually watch (maybe an hour a week), but is actually going to be used to play video games on my monitor, mainly. And recording TV shows to my hard drive will be just plain cool.
Aside from that, just been trying to get back into the swing of FFXI again. Took a bit of a hiatus, but I'm back into it now. Almost up to level 40, and I'm getting really confident in groups, too. I find myself setting up the skillchains and just generally being a better player. I also set the game up to use a controller at the reccomendation of my FF playing friends. Seems easier, but I need to try it for more than 10 minutes. I also enjoy the irony of playing a Final Fantasy game with an XBox controller.
