Uggh, I know, and the figures haven't even been released yet, right? Which means I get to go through all of this again when they do come out XP
Re: Straps and keychains: Waaagh, really?? Not jealous not jealous not jealous not jealous (well, OK, kind of jealous-- those keychains are super-cute) ;) Why I'm not already part of *every digimon comm* is a bleepin' mystery, but I also didn't used to be so into Digimon swag, so there you go.
I've actually been toying with the idea of making my own keychain for a while. Something small and simplified, along the lines of what was in Diaboromon Strikes Back. I might have to get on that sooner rather than later.
Omg. You SHOULD MAKE THAT. (Only I'm guessing you wouldn't start with Yamato, which is fine with me, even though he *does* make a pretty cute cell phone charm.) What type of media would you make it from? Personally, I'm no good with 3D (although I haven't really practiced much) but I would love to try and make some of those pressed plastic charms like the ones that are sold in Artists' Alleys at conventions.
Who to make who to make hrmmm LET ME THINK ABOUT IT :D
No, actually this is a valid question because I hadn't really thought that far ahead yet ^^; I mean, I know who my top two choices are, but... the only thing I know how to use is polymer clay and it's been a really long time, plus big and/or spiky hair is prolly pretty easy to bork up. I guess it makes sense to start easy (Iori? An in-training digimon?) and work up from there. Dare I say... digimon craft party?!?? XD
You know, I honestly hadn't thought about 2D acryllics. The first link I found on making your own (yo) links to a couple of places that will cut them for you, but going that route doesn't look like a onesy-twosy sort of deal. Still, something to think about!
Aaaactually, even before this post, I kind of hatched the idea in my head to rent out a booth in the Artists' Alley at Anime Central next year, and I think I'm going to do it! I've never done it before, so I'm planning and researching now. My road, similarly, lead to that ZapCreative site. It's hard to believe there's only one company that does it! Ouch! But the charms do come out looking pretty fantastic, so I think I'll do it.
I'll be making sure that my table has some Digimon offerings for sure, but I'm still working on that. ;)
You don't happen to live in the Midwest, do you? (I'm kind of imagining a super Digimon-powered art table...bwahaha o.o)
And dude, I just stalked you on DeviantArt and you could TOTALLY sell prints of that "Digimon Adventure Time"! XD I don't watch Adventure Time, but I'm familiar with the style...your pic is fantastic! XD
And I'm going to "friend" you on DeviantArt in an attempt to mitigate my art stalking. :I
