I got my Korg Kaossilator yesterday, and it's twice as awesome as I expected. J-Dog and Matty, I strongly suggest you invest.
In other news, I strangely find myself acting as a rep for one of my very favorite acts, Eclectic Method. They want to play a show in Seattle in July, and don't have anyone to help line something up (they're from the UK). When I asked them how to buy their new DVD, I also mentioned I would help out if they needed a hand in Seattle... and oddly, they said "ok!" Crazy shit, eh? So now I'm working on getting them booked, despite not knowing jack shit about how that all works. (Never stops me from doing things...) I'd love to hook them up just on the basis of how much music glee they bring me. I've already done some ground work, we'll see how it goes.
If I can get a show lined up, you gotta come support it! ;)
Here's their first DVD as a taste...
In other other news I signed up for the Stranger's "Lovelab" and so far have gotten zero anything. That's how I roll! ;) Thank god my expectations were already set asymptotically close to zero. But I figured it was something more than my current dating efforts: nothing. I'm also pleased at how little I give a crap either way, mostly because I'm feeling attractive and successful more-or-less and realize that my validation in daily life is far more significant than my invalidation online. Plus, only after signing up did I read enough of the personal ads to realize... most of these girls would annoy the fuck out of me and I'm guessing they will feel the same upon reading mine...
