kicking ass

I can use that term because it is about football. Tonights game gave me 51 points. I know that other players on my FFL team are playing over the weeknd and ending on Monday so there are more points yet to come. But so far I am kicking ass.

Also I was enjoying the blog of Franklin Habit. I enjoy his projects, Delores, yarn speak and the review of the Knitting Man(ual). Now that I have a guy in my life I could knit a sweater for someone larger than a 6 month old. I have the knitting with balls book on my shelf and there are a couple of things I had thought about making. But his request is golf club covers. Hmmm well that is a google search away.

We were watching parts of the game as I flitted back and forth from the living room, the office, and the kiddo with her homework. There was an add for an HP thing. The hubbys comment about it was how arrogant to think that just because you are a famous individual that people would want to make your projects. And I got to thinking isn't that what I do. I make someone elses project. I am working on a shibori scarf pattern from Lynda, a woman I have known since I was the kiddos age. I finished the scarf, have to before the class to then learn abotu the altering during the shrinking proccess. I am doing a prototype with the same yarn to ensure that it will felt properly. I haven't done but one project form start to felted finish. SO we will see. I hope ot post photos. I will be sure to take pics in class (if possible).

A good friend of mine was laid off yesterday. She didn't know it was happening either. I mean we both knew it could. The way the housing market has been, but a few months back she talked ot her boss and said please if something is going on, give me a heads up. Well it was a case of CYA on the bosses part. and said friend had no idea. This afternoon we filled out the unemployment paperwork, got her the form for the child support change due to circumstances - los of employment see attached. Thats what we wrote on the form. I paperclipped things together, gave her the addressed envelope. I know how she feels. We even laughed at the you cried so hard you made the weezy noise when you tried to breath. After getting so much accomplished I gave her the last of the blue hawaiian form the freezer. I do need to get more buckets o'booze $6.50 for the bucket add a bottle of (rum in this case) fill with water and stir. Put in freezer let set for 24 hours. And you have a party-esque bucket'o'booze.
She felt comfortable talking to me about what happened because I was there. Just over a year ago. I was in her shoes. driving home through the tears, getting there to sit on the bed and sob. Wanting to be with someone and realizing what is really important in life.
She tells her son tomorrow what happened. We will see how the new wife reacts to the news. They are buying a house. 2 story 4 bedroom. I am sure they were counting on getting money instead of shelling it out we will see how the purchase goes for them.

OH i have been working on the wavy scarf but was discuraged as I was running out of the 1 skein of koigu. I found an online source for the yarn and ordered 2 skeins. I will have a usable length scarf instead of it would look retty with a coat buttoned up to your chin as it peeked out sort of length.  I really shoudl be working. Obviously i have a lot of burn out from that client. He ruined it for my other clients. Yes. thats it I blame him entirely. :)

sigh........... want sleep........ finish working.......... sigh.
