Truth: A dangerous high wire.

One would think, that the truth is always the best policy. And i agree with this cliche, in most cases. However, it becomes a different story when it's a full on game of "going for the jugular". Is there anything wrong with asking serious questions and expecting truthful answers? Absolutely not. I think it's important to let some of those feelings out every once in a while. However, it is something that should be done sparingly as to not jeopardize a friendship. Some would argue that the truth should strengthen a relationship. In most cases, yeah, it does. But, when the truth turns ugly and hurts deeply, it compromises the very foundation of a friendship. Long story short, be careful when asking and answering questions deep in emotion and spiked with pain. That can be likened to opening Pandora's Box.
