Another beautiful day today, though we did have some light rain the past couple of days. It's been quite nice for the most part, partly sunny to full on sunshine when we don't have a couple of wettish days in there. Temps, however, have been in the 50's for the most part.
Nothing new on the house front, though I didn't get to look much yesterday, or this morning at all. Rent is due in a couple of days and spent a good chunk of yesterday running all of the rent checks in two stages and came home tired. Went to La Caccina for dinner last night and had a yummy Mexican meal, which was a nice change. I stopped by the grocery store for some fresh face soap and came on home where some research for my lighting agnostic post that I spent this morning rewriting (for incandescent lighting) when I found the Schenedaty NY museum for lighting.
Had an odd thing happen with the computer on Thursday. I was working on some photos gleaned from the print screen function to Photoshop, and had begun to crop one when both computer monitors displayed garbage. Several hot reboots didn't solve it, and finally opened up the computer (needs cleaning/dusting) and wiggling the graphics card and checking to ensure the onboard fan on it was still OK (it is), and finally full reboot after that finally solved the issue. It's been fine since then, but I still have the side panel off as I need to get canned air and blow it out good.
It's been blown out before, but it's overdue one again.
From talking to several people this past week, all agree that the housing market is beginning to open up and ran into someone I know at work who bought her house in West Seattle 18 years ago and loves it there, and it was where she could find something she could afford. So that is encouraging news, now to just find a home. My guess is, it won't bee too long now as people find jobs and some may need to move to be closer to work is my bet. In any event, need to look, that's for damn sure.
Oh, we had site certification on Tuesday and I did something totally right. The guy who came to do the certification (to see if we are following company guidelines and such, as relavent to the site itself) asked me about the Service Connection meetings. He stated he understood if we were having meetings to go over those, and I right off the bat said, yes we are having them, then he said, can you state some things from them, I said that while we are doing them, we just started those, and prior to that we had been getting the emails for them, and besides I was not there last week (was on vacation) and that was good enough as we got that question right. Never mind that most of us never even looked at the service connect emails when passed along by our esteemed boss, and of course, I didn't divulge that one bit, but I WAS truthful with the reply however.
My boss had to thank me for that as he knew if anyone else had been asked, they would not have answered it correctly most likely. So I felt good about that. In the end, it was all about ensuring you provide a latter of perception that you are following along with your employer when in fact, it is more imperative that the client be satisfied than not in a case like this. Whatever.
Today, I need to make a couple of errands and come back to wash dishes and prowl the MLS listings for a home, and get out some as well. It'll only be 51F out there, but tomorrow, a bit warmer but mostly sunny however.
