Koujundo romance - Kinki Kids
This took me so long! I'm kind of sorry for that, I wasn't crazy about the song, but once I got to read the lyrics more carefully... I just thought this is a beautiful song~
So, it's like 25 years, I mean, I think they actually have fans younger than their group LOL, 25 wow... I wanted to do this song, but it took so long to actually gather the will to write here again~ I've been trying for a really long time, originally I was going to take a month...but it got harder and harder to come back, why do I always ramble in KK's songs??
Click to viewThe lyricist of this song is Matsumoto Takashi, and it's been a while since he's worked on a KK song, 99% I think. Also, both Domotos talked a little about this song and their collaboration with Matsumoto-sensei in their promotion on the Jweb, you can read about it here. Like I said, the style of the music is very much KK's style and I think my favorite here is the lyrics, the composer of this song has worked with them in previous songs (the most recent "atarashi jidai") as well as with other Jhonny's. I got kanji from here, and I was a little conflicted about how to translate the title of the song, but I'll talk about that later~

[T/N]: Beautiful lyrics, aren't they? I fell in love as I try to put them the best I could, of course, the result felt short... but let's see~
The title, the direct translation is something like "high purity", like in an element with a high level/degree of purity, that's why I tried to keep it closer to that meaning within the stanzas. It was a little looser in the title.
- The person singing is talking about this romance he shares with their significant other, the very first verse it's his wish.
- I love the second stanza, it gives reference to the days he's talking about later, the days when he feels down, the days when everything seems harder for him, and the third stanza gives the answer to his problem, that part is so beautiful, especially in Japanese in which you have a little more of something like suspense until the whole stanza is revealed, I had to change a little the order, I'm sorry about that~
- The part with the meteor shower made me think of two things, first, the sort of space theme, since the beginning, and second, he's thinking about getting to the sofa? XD
- Later on, just some romantic stanzas, and now the end, I love the end, there's repetition here, but I like it because it makes sense, it's like explaining it since it has a high level of purity, this is not fake, because it's like tested, this is it, it's the element in its pure form, LOVE. lol and because it's pure, that's the end, and also Ko-chan's comment, it's called a know of honesty. Like something that will remain strong because it's real.
I overall liked the other songs in this single, there are many this time. 手をつなぐのは久しぶりだね sounds so good, I like the music. "My only one" is a nice ballad, they sound really good. "Precious Memories" is a Dōjima's song and it's pretty nice
and 切ないね, I think this one was my favorite of the coupling songs, yep, definitely my fave. All the starting music sounds in this single are great!
