My grandmother has been a devouted Christian since overcoming alcoholism many years ago 
and has always lived by her love of words and poetry related to her belief. As she is now nearing

For those of you who asked, below is a photo from yesterday's opening.  I'm not sure how well you can make out the installation piece.  For an explanation of it, see my earlier post.

The show was awesome.  About 70 people showed -- the overwhleming majority of whom had never been to our space before and were not either church-goers or believers.  ( Read more... )

Today is the opening of an art exhibition at our church. It is part of our overall effort to encourage believers to reclaim their inheritance as creative children of a Creator God.

The central piece is one by my wife, called “The Open Tabernacle.” It is a simple open cube marked off by ribbons at each edge. Here is the accompanying description:
