ou can't build anything in a place as gang-like and ' don't say nuthin' ' as Croydon. You can't do venue safety, as the punters just won't grass. No venue safety means, well, no license ( obviously ).
Add to that The Police being hell bent on protecting the local trouble ( that's what it looked like to me *shrugs* ) and...
This is another healing post. 15 years of my life wrecked by Croydon gangs & managers. Not even 1 date ( romance ) was gained. It was *that* bad. No-one is that unlucky in love; it must have been a boycott.
These people just won't stop lying. And the gang situation is ridiculous.
Add to that the loss of music quality in the charts and I always knew I was gonna end up an old tired etc etc. I just did not expect it to be done in such a violent & cruel way. I figured I'd just end up like Disco Stu; which, in itself, is just a natural ageing thing. Croydon was not a natural ageing thing; it was A LOT of VERY brutal stuff to try and kill this here goth ( they broke my mind twice, broke my legs, and I did nearly die twice too. Take the hint ).
Yeah, glad I'm out. Brommel still feels like the best choice. You never know, I might be able to get back to the original belief.
See, Disco Stu still gets some action. We shall have to see.
I'm a retro kinda guy anyway; it could be fun :)
PS: Seriously, the music has been truly awful for the past decade. Rock fell asleep, or learned to squeak; Metal decided to beat up innocent people whilst acting like a cunt; Techno needs to actually sober up a bit and get back to making decent tunes; And Indie just doesn't exist anymore.
A real bad decade that. Commercial crap and substance abuse just took over. I guess that is what the Post-Rock Apocalypse really feels like. I hope this is just a blip.
