as the stomach turns...
So I went to Eastside Urgent Care a week ago, to check on my stomach...
The doctor was distant and definitely had something else on her mind, it made for a strange visit. We went down a list of symptoms, matching what I had been experiencing. She said it was actually a "good sign" that my pain had lasted over 14 days... after feeling around my stomach for a bit, the doctor dismissed anything serious and surmised it being either ulcers or irratable bowel syndrome. She had stressed she felt no reason for me to go with further testing... fine... but I felt like I had to force my way around to get better answers, or just see if she was paying attention.
I get better answers from my friends (and you know who you are)... ;-)
As for the new job - I definitely like working hospitality, I prefer hand delivering a dozen pillows to a room than being yelled at in the ear. Of course there have been a few "bumps"... the grumpy airline travelers... the loads of paper work to process (the system is apparently pretty outdated)... However the biggest struggle has been personal. I am out of touch with my family and friends, its been difficult to say the least. My sleep schedule is a little off kilter too - some days I get 7 hours - other days 4.
And you know what? concentrating on paperwork at 5 o' clock in the morning is really hard.
Just hoping I can adjust to it all soon - otherwise... who knows... erf.
In other news -
* my dad is finally getting over his stomach flu...
* my sister is dealing (again) with a broken sub pump (has been dealing with this since their house was built)...
* my friend Andre moved back to Detroit and I really never got to say goodbye (boo)...
* and I finally got my designs sent in for the Morphicon t-shirt contest... now to complete a bunch of other commissions - some that have been waiting since November... (yikes).
