in the wee small hours of the morning...

My experience with the Drawbridge continues to be interesting. Since I am in training, I continue to do most of the the paperwork on a regular basis. Most tedious has been transferring cancelled airline passenger accounts. At check in, we staple the disgruntled airline passenger's hotel voucher to a copy of the room's account. After the rest of the nightly paperwork has been completed, we go through each copy and transfer the amount of the room charged to the coordinating airline's account. The guest account is then reprinted, and the voucher is taken off the original copy and stapled to the new account receipt. Tedious, tedious fun.

Weekend work also proves to be a bit of a challenge. Asides checking guests in, delivering towels and pillows to a multitude of rooms, and finishing a good amount of paperwork - we have to deal with a large amount of intoxicated people; some are guests, others are visitors to the hotel tavern which has the reputation of being, and I quote "the meat market of Northern Kentucky"... no joke.

So yeah - its been pretty interesting to say the least. Still getting used to working third shift... I've been getting enough sleep, but waking up at 4 in the afternoon is disconcerting to say the least and keeps me feeling "out of it". I've been doing better keeping in touch with family, but still losing touch with friends... but I am trying my best!

in other news...

* recently finished my taxes...

* my stomach/intestines/whatever is getting better - though once and a while I get some annoyance and try to take it easy... still drinking the Vernor's and green tea (but not together)...

* continuing work on several art commissions...

* and I'm going to Morphicon (per this)...

I felt there were some stronger entries and am still floored... very flattered and honored to say the least...

all I have to do now is figure out how to adjust back to "normal hours" within a really short period of time...
