Metroid Fusion, complete.

So...it took me three tries this morning to get past the "run from SA-X" part that I was bitching about, and the various other bosses I encountered, all fell with fewer than 5 tries.

4:42, 53%. Not bad for my first time through the game. Now, I will admit that I took a look at a walkthrough a few times. Nothing very long, just for battle advice for Nightmare, SA-X, and Omega Metroid, and a 3 or 4 spots where I was like, did I mess up here? Yeah, I only had 12 of 20 energy canisters, 165 of 250 missiles, and 26 of 74 power bombs, but the game was very much doable.

One thing that pisses me off however, is that when you are told to go and muck with the computer one last time, you can no longer wander around and pick up the stuff you couldn't get to before. There were 3 energy containers that I knew where they were, but couldn't get them on my first pass, that it wouldn't let me go back to get. Suck. I should have held off talking with the ship until after I picked up all the goodies. My mistake.

Oh, once you get the pattern down for the final SA-X, he is a total wimp. Took me 4 tries to kill him the first time, and I ended up killing him 4 times in a row in order to kill the final boss (you don't get to save between the final two bosses). Ah well.

2 and 1/2 days to beat a game, not bad. Maybe I haven't lost my gaming skills since I got to graduate school. I would have expected to suck, considering how little time I have for gaming lately.
