Compared to the abysmal affair that was yesterday, today was much better.
I'm now pretty sure I have a cold, and though my snot hasn't changed color yet, it's still runny and quite uncomfortable.
I cooked chicken noodle soup without chicken, but with chinese cabbage and turkey hotdogs instead. And I used long rice instead of egg noodles, but it still turned out okay.
The weather today was pretty nice, and my laptop is doing its best not to fail on me again, I think.
In commemoration of this better day, I'll post some of my best shots from my vacation.
First up, a seagull flying in the sky on the Embarcadero, from when I walked all the way to Fisherman's wharf.
Then my favorite, a heart kite flying in the sky. Also taken while on the way to fishermans' wharf.
The next two were taken at the Asian Art Museum.
The first, a statue of Ganesha, an indian god, who was also the supporting character in Yume wo Kanaeru Zou, the book I read a while ago about the elephant god turning a hopeless guy into a successful human being with quirky rules. It was great to meet him in person!
Then, a delicious soba edamame salad, which I am planning to emulate some time in the future, if I ever remember to buy the ingredients.
