corbis interview thursday after this, late morning....

must throw together some samples to e-mail. wish i had any kind of good flatbed scanner, since most of my journalism is from newspaper layouts and won't scan to a simple 8-1/2" by 11" page. but they're so damn expensive.

so, about 20 minutes of telephone interview with a recruiter for corbisi am now officially wrung out. it's amazing what a short conversation can do to you if there's enough riding on it ( Read more... )

the worst part of journalism is when you're waiting for somebody to get back to you with info you need for a story and they're unresponsive. still no mastercard interview but at least i did get a voicemail from somebody in their p.r. department who requested more info on my story angle so they could set me up with an appropriate interview ( Read more... )

i was essentially performing a minor wake for my career, sitting shiva, if you will.

yesterday was extremely full so no time to post, so here's a brief update. may touch on some of this stuff in more detail later.
